This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to work as a senior civil works designer or para-professional designer supporting professional engineers. Graduates will be able to perform tasks that are broad, specialised, complex and technical and include strategic areas and initiating activities. They are responsible for the design of complex projects to ensure the implementation of the client’s site requirements and are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements a career in this field can be both creative and rewarding.
Target learners will be students who seek to develop their skills across the civil construction sector. Learners could be looking to get the skills to join or re-join the workforce, get better employment opportunities, move into a new career or gain additional skills in their existing career.or seeking further pathway in higher education qualifications.
Employment Outcomes: Employment may include, but is not limited to Senior Civil Construction Designer, Civil Engineering Draftsperson or para-professional designer.
Further Study Pathway: After completing RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design you may progress to higher education courses in Civil Construction.
Entry and Exit into Training Product: Participants will be offered the opportunity for recognition of prior learning during the enrolment process. If a student does not complete the full qualification but has successfully achieved many units, a Statement of Attainment will be issued upon request by the student, indicating that they do not plan to complete the full qualification.
